Tere ishq ke intaha chahata hun
meri sadagi dekh kya chahata hun
sitam ho ki ho vada-e-behijabi
koi baat sabr-azama chahata hun
ye jannat mubarak rahe zahidon ko
ki main aap ka samana chahata hun
koi dam ka mehaman hun ae ahal-e-mahafil
chirag-e-sahar hun, bujha chahata hun
bhari bazm mein raz ke baat kah di
bada be-adab hun, saza chahata hun.....

mana-e-dasht navardi koi tadabir nahi
ek chakkar hai mere paon mein zanjir nahi
hasarat-e-lazzat-e-azar rahi jati hai
jadah-e-rah-e-vafa juz dam-e-shamshir nahi
ranj-e-na-ummidi-e-javed gavara rahiyo
khush hun gar nala zabuni kash-e-tasir nahi
sar khujata hai jahan zakhm-e-sar acha ho jaye
lazzat-e-sang ba-andaza-e-taqarir nahi
jab karam rukhsat-e-bebaki-o-gustakhi de

aap bevajah pareshan-si kyon hain madam
log kahate hain to phir thik hi kahate honge
mere ehabab ne tahazib na sikhi hogi
mere mahaul mein insan na rehte honge
nur-e-saramaya se hai ru-e-tamaddun ke jila

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first, the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms.
Then the whining schoolboy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honor, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon's mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lined,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slippered pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose and pouch on side;
His youthful hose, well saved, a world too wide
For his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice,
Turning again toward childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything........

HARK! hark! the lark at heaven's gate sings,
And Phoebus 'gins arise,
His steeds to water at those springs
On chaliced flowers that lies;
And winking Mary-buds begin
To ope their golden eyes:
With everything that pretty bin,
My lady sweet, arise!
Arise, arise!.....

Tall as a crane,
The morning light creaks down again;
Comb your cockscomb-ragged hair,
